After carving all details including the Tybee Island lighthouse found in Savannah, GA~ I painted this unique Santa with acrylics, antiqued and sealed. Signed and dated, as always made without patterns and is a OOAK.

*A Cypress Knee is part of the root system of the Cypress Tree found in swamps of the south. No tree is harmed during the harvesting process. As in nature each knee is unique and each carving is one of a kind.

There is a hole on top of the float where the fishing net rope once went through, which could hold a thin candle. This carving does stand by itself, but if using a candle place on a non flammable surface:)

I hand carve each one from a vintage wooden sewing spool, then hand paint, seal and antique. Many spools still have the original labels on the top which I leave on for that extra vintage appeal.

These have been painted, sanded for the distressed look and coffee dyed with vanilla coffee. They don't smell like flowers but really smell great!!
