Needle Felted Goldie Bear

I am pleased to offer you one of my Goldie Bears. This is a special bear that has been made in an interesting technique. In order to make this little (5" sitting) bear look like an heirloom it is quite a process.
First I wash and card my own sheep's wool stuffing. A muslin body is then made. I stuff it rock hard with the wool stuffing. It is then coffee and cinnamon stained and baked.
I then sparsely needle felted golden and brown wool onto him. He has some white alpaca fiber lightly needle felted into his tummy. He has a homespun bow tied around his neck. It is in burgundy and cream.

Needle Felted Chick

This is a needle felted 8" high chick. He has taken many hours to make. I have washed and hand dyed each one of the Alpaca fibers. His core is wool and then I needle felted the Alpaca fiber over it. It is super soft. He has been shaded in Alpaca for the added depth.
Needle felting is a 200 year art that is regaining popularity. It takes thousands of pokes with a special barbed felting needle.

Mr and Mrs Mouse

This is a two piece set. I am so pleased and proud how this pair turned out. They were a lot of work but so worth it. I have over 24 hours into them. They are wonderful to hold and are nice and firm.
Needle felting is a 200 year art that is regaining popularity. To dry felt wool it requires thousands of pokes with a felting needle. It is like painting only with wool fibers. The mice are 100% wool. Even the eyes.
Mr. and Mrs. mice are both 5" tall. They are in love. He sports a red felted tie and blue jeans with a belt. Mrs. mouse has a vintage ribbon ruffled about her neck. She holds a red felted heart and has a pink felted skirt. They both have a lot of detail and nice shading for depth.
This is wonderful set for any collector. Great Valentine gift.

Needle Felted Santa

This is one of my favorite felted Santa's of the season. He is 4.5 " tall. Made of completely solid wool.
I wash, dye and hand card all my wool before needle felting a OOAK piece. The face has been hand carved from a ball of clay. (no molds ever).
His face is then handpainted and antiqued. His beard is tiny Bleufaced Border Leicester sheep's wool. He can stand or hang.
