As far back as I can remember, I always had my hands in something - whether it was Play-Doh or finger paints, I had a need to create. Chicken Lips is my creative outlet - unleashed on an unsuspecting public several years ago, the response has been tremendous! It’s nice to know that my twisted imagination is appreciated!
I have a degree in fine arts and a background in graphic design. It wasn't until I discovered a sewing machine that everything "clicked" into place, My products are a culmination of all the materials that I love; fabric, wood, and clay. the finished products are quality pieces of art that you can treasure for years to come.
My inspiration comes from traditional folk art images and my own barnyard menagerie . The Chicken Lips studio is smack dab in the middle of 1.5 acres in the rural town of Bloomington. My chickens, goats, and a goose named Betty are a constant source of inspiration.
