You are only getting older, the chicks aren’t going to be into you, the kids aren’t going to like you as they focus on a new guy that can risk their body as your body breaks down, and when Vince is done with you, knowing you got no more charm, what will you do? Will we see the Hardy Boyz in high school gyms with Matt taping the experience? Stay tuned, fans, stay tuned….. At 6′0″, 181 lbs, he could be a difference maker in the NHL sooner rather than later.C Â Jaden Schwartz, Tri-City Storm USHL (Ranked 29th in TSN’s Prospect Rankings)Every scout that sees him play can describe Schwartz in one word: smart. Shut outs and loses. These players are not even given the chance to win Enver Lisin scored two goals in back to back games. However, the Knicks were still able to prevail in their quest to acquire the former All-Star with a little help from McGrady’s agent, Arn Tellem, who declared potential “fireworks” should T-Mac have been traded to the Kings.Tellem represents several Kings players, and one can only bet Kings brass didn’t care to find out what he meant by “fireworks.”Also coming to New York will be Sergio Rodriguez via Sacramento. He won over 15 seven times as a member of the team, and should he one day be enshrined, it would be as a Twin.Current Twins No 28:Jesse CrainCurrent Twins Retired Numbers:No 3: Harmon KillebrewNo 6: Tony OlivaNo 14: Kent HrbekNo 29: Rod CarewNo 34: Kirby Puckett.

His smile grows as he comes upon a tall, dreadlocked onlooker. This man has been his partner for the past two seasons, and their tandem has become one of envy, but their friendship dwarfs it in comparison. He begins to speak, not knowing exactly what the wants to say, but knowing that the message will come. Sure, John Calipari is probably not done in Kentucky and will likely end up with a heralded class to help reload in Lexington, but look for Memphis and UNC to return to prominence with the arrival of their new recruits. . It is as much a part of the game as the flesh and blood that pushes against one another until the final whistle that signifies the end of the scrum. It is yet unclear whether Hart would go one-on-one against McMahon, but I’d bet on Hart teaming with Cena to go against McMahon teaming with “The Animal” Batista. The way Cena and Batista have been involved in the Bret Hart angle, shows that the WWE is interested in making this happen. Wrestlers such as RVD have been very vocal about the WWE schedual being too demanding.   One of my greatest concers is that Wrestlers are being allowed to wrestle in some organizations that are simply too physically hurt.

His leadership speaks volume of his character, and he IS the franchise player of the Golden State franchise. They also have had mixed success with the draft, sometimes hitting well, like Michael Bush and Zach Miller, but other times, finding guys like Darrius Heyward-Bey or JaMarcus Russell.Sometimes solutions are not easy to come by, or players once thought highly of, turn out to be blunders. He was never one to seek out any sort of media attention, which makes him one of the most respectable head coaches ever in my book.He was so focused on the team that he wasn’t even recognized as Coach of the Year until 1989. If Crockett and Tubbs happened upon the aftermath of my day against the Saints defense, they would undoubtedly call it ‘Miami Vis-cera.’”Yes, I’ve heard that New Orleans defensive coordinator Gregg Williams plans to make sure his pass rushers drop me with some ‘remember-me’ shots, even when they don’t get the sack.

It is likely that he would not do a deal at all involving T-Mac.That means mortgaging the future for now. Johnson instead won the Championship after the points were reset during the “Chase.”In 2008, Carl Edwards won an impressive nine races during the season, but after the points were reset for the final 10 races, Johnson again managed to edge him out for his third Championship in a row.To make it simple, here is how things would stand if the “Chase” format wasn’t created: Jimmie Johnson would have two Championships, and Jeff Gordon would have six Championships, just one shy of the record of seven held by Petty and Earnhardt.Obviously, we can’t say this for certain, but after all the numbers were crunched, that is how it would have played out.Of course NASCAR couldn’t have planned for this to happen, but what happened was Gordon was set back into the shadows, and Johnson has become the face of NASCAR.There is no denying that Johnson is a great driver, one of the best, in fact. And there’s a little bit of a ripple effect, moving guys around to fill that left tackle spot. Griffen is the best DE available if Derrick Morgan is gone at this point in the draft. I have seen some Mocks with Jason Pierre-Paul ahead of Griffen, but I think he’s a one year wonder and there are some questions regarding his work ethic and intelligence. There are some reports that he won’t even get a double digit score on his Wonderlic test.17.          San Francisco 49ers from Carolina Panthers (8-8): Trent Williams, Offensive Tackle, OklahomaThe 49ers have a huge hole at right tackle. Look to them to fill that need with the 17th pick.18.          **Jacksonville Jaguars (7-9) from Pittsburgh Steelers ( 9-7): Carlos Dunlap, Defensive End, FloridaWith Tebow’s poor performance at the Senior Bowl, his draft stock has plummeted to the point that Jacksonville can now get him in the second round. Look to the Jags to address their other major concern and that’s getting pressure on the quarterback from their defensive line. And jump up and down andcheer.Jeff Saturday (iSuper Bowl)Dwight Freeney (super bowl)Robert Mathis (super bowl)Brian Cushing (injured)Jarius Byrd (injured)Thats alot right? Well thats just the AFC.

It’s ubiquitous. And annoying too.Seeing grownups putting their hands together in this fashion while chanting “dun, dun..dun, dun…dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun…” along with the theme from Jaws has metro-sexual written all over it.. I think Marquardt’s striking is too good, he is too strong, and his wrestling is good enough to not let Miller hold him down for three rounds. If the Packersaren’tcomfortable with theplay-making ability of one of their earlier picks and this guy is still on the board, they have to take him.Darrel Stuckey is known as a safety that can cover a lot of territory in a short amount of time. Wilson^Toronto Blue JaysKevin GreggScott Downs    NATIONAL LEAGUE Arizona DiamondbacksJuan GutierrezBob Howry and Aaron HielmanAtlanta BravesTakashi SaitoPeter MoylanChicago CubsAngel GuzmanJohn GrabowCincinnati RedsNick MassettArthur RhodesColorado RockiesManny CorpasFranklin MoralesFlorida MarlinsDan MeyerRenyal PintoHouston AstrosBrandon Lyon Los Angeles DodgersRamon TrancoscoGeorge SherrillMilwaukee BrewersTodd CoffeyLaTroy HawkinsNew York MetsKelvim EscobarPedro FelicianoPhiladelphia PhilliesRyan MadsonJ.C. “I’ll put it to you this way: Mike Reinfeldt and I did talk about Nick’s future with the team and Mike said that Nick played very well before his season was cut short by injury, that he did a good job.

However, Bobby Cox is one of the managers that are not so cocky as to declare their victory even before the season starts. That is true and I will not dispute that. However, there are other things that have shown up That is what he did well in South Bend. The 2009 Rookie of the Year and Pro Bowler is needed if the Vikings want a better chance at winning. But ofcourse they will need Kobe in the playoffs if they expect to get to the championships I can think of only two teams that could stop the Lakers. Fontenot played for the Saints from 1997 to 2003 and started every game.He became expendable when guard LeCharles Bentley, who played center in college, was moved into Fontenot’s position. Do I really care who wins between these two? HOLD UP! It just struck me.

There is definitely not a million possibilities, but believe me there are tons of ways this can go. According to fangraphs, his value last season was 13 times how much he actually made. 3 picks the team would have to give up to get them through the restricted market. If you want to go to war with him over wrestling, you have a shot. The United States won that tournament with the help of Parise and his five goals and six assists.Parise also played in the 2002 U18 World Junior Championship, where he again helped the U.S win gold.. For example, the Cincinnati loss turned into a jailbreak, with Maryland giving up 12 fast-break points to score 16 while sacrificing valuable help defense.Even William and Mary ?up this year, sure, but still no Kentucky?solved it to the tune of six three-pointers on 50 percent shooting before the Terps retreated to the zone after halftime. Now take the recent 88-64 blowout of N.C.

Chances of signing: The Redskins would have to be considering a complete switch to the 3-4 if they were to pursue Wilfork. Eli Manning wanted to get out of the shadow of his brother.Manning still has many years left, but was already on an upswing when he cemented his status as an elite NFL quarterback with the Giants upset over Brady’s undefeated Patriots. At times they show glimpses of a team on the rise, but then they justdisappoint once again It’s almost like a poor magician. Pittsburgh Steelers, OT Charles Brown, USC The once vaunted Steeler offensive line has fallen on hard times the past few seasons as made evident by losses in 2009 to Cleveland and Kansas City where they gave up a combined 13 sacks. 12)At over 800 votes, even an unscientific poll begins to reflect what an interested group of people really believes. And the “winners” are: slightly less than half of Raptors fans believe Jose Calderon is the most likely to be traded and about one in six believe no one will. What might be surprising is despite all of Toronto Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo’s efforts to dispel any notion of Chris Bosh being available, one in eight still believe Bosh could be traded at the deadline. This trade deadline has created a lot of buzz for the NBA and the Raptors this year. Fans from many teams are anticipating trades in abundance. And while usually trade deadline days may only have limited activity in the end, this year’s perfect storm of:Max free agents coming available;Financial pressure on teams; The expectation of a lower salary cap next season; and,The much anticipated tighter CBA in 2011,Has created the possibility of one of the most active trade deadline periods ever.Or will everyone involved get frozen into inactivity by the fear of an unknown future? As the Toronto Raptors continue to pile up wins, the calls for Colangelo to do nothing at the trade deadline get louder. But it still looks like the hottest trade speculation for Raptors fans continues to be will the Toronto Raptors trade Jose Calderon?. Supposedly the management is really high about this guy and feels he is going to be a future main eventer. In this video clip you will clearly see that Bell’s effort, desire, and love for the game aren’t also to be questioned.Bell was invited to the 2010 Senior Bowl where he has been tearing it up.

Kieran GibbsAlthough the 20 year old has not featured much this season due to injury. How did that story turn out in the end? Bradford and Clausen are being picked apart the same way Brees was. So that means that out of three drivers with equal stuff, he lost to two of them.Yesterday’s Daytona 500 was a microcosm of Gordon’s last four to five years He ran great for most of the race. Everyone’s favorite death-stare-giving fireball pitcher will be wearing the D for quite a while, it seems. While his cut was examined, Cole told Marquez that he is already ahead on the scorecards.Although Cole did notexplicitly say it, it was an implication that Marquez had the option to stop the fight anyway he would still win on points.Thank the heaven’s though that Marquez did not buy Cole’s advise and decided to fight on He eventually knocked Jaca out in the next round.

Here in the Tale of the Tape: We are going to look at Joe Haden the athlete and not so much at what he aims to show or prove at the NFL combine.Haden comes into the combine weighing in at 5′11″, 190 pounds. 11 Michigan State (11-3, 21-6) last night, saying, “There is no question he is a next-level player, an All-American, the whole deal.”So that leads us to the ultimate question at hand: Will Izzo’s leading scorer (15.7 points per game) stay for his senior year in East Lansing? An NBA Mock Draft drawn up at the beginning of the season had “Too Easy” going in the first round to either the New Jersey Nets, or possibly to his hometown Detroit Pistons.Known for their great guards in the past, Lucas would be a nice fit in Mo Town. The same can be said of the scarlet and cream of the Cornhuskers. But the television market for Texas greatly exceeds that of Nebraska, and its entire population seems to treat football like a religion. From his wife’s cancer diagnosis to his father’s death and his family’s brush with Hurricane Katrina, Favre’s most personal and painful challenges played out in living rooms across America, and those challenges were so much like those of everyday working people….Continue Reading at MySportsPress. He was alleged by investigator Jeff Novitsky as having used steroids and EPO while training for his second bout with Oscar De La Hoya in 2003. Why blow picks early when you can draft Buehrle?Cheesy? Yes.Crazy fantasy advice? You be the judge.First, I?m not high on Mark Buehrle because of his perfect game. He also said Kreutz would be riding a stationary bike within 10 days.

None of this mattered just thirteen minutes into the game when South-African born Brian Stein capitalised on a cheeky over the shoulder through ball to slot home. I’m sure if I offered my opinion, I’d beharangued by any number of football fans, with the exact opposite view Don’t worry I’m not about to do that. Hughes is a very good wide receiver from Georgia. There is not much information about him, but there are some interesting facts. He is 6′1 175 pounds. He caught 25 passes for 750 yards and 9 touchdowns, according to his bio on huskers , this past season which makes him a big play threat. He is a bit of an unknown, but he did turn down a scholarship offer from Air Force to walk on at Nebraska so he obviously can play at a high level.. Doesn’t sound too bad to me.Alright well despite Green Bay and Philadelphia both having better regular season records I still think the Patriots can and should be in the mix. I will cheer heartily for our athletes and I will celebrate our victories. But when the chips are down later in the year, he can absolutely carry your team. That tiny little right field fence in Yankee Stadium will only help him continue to pour on the numbers, and Tex will likely be a late first-round pick and live up to that billing. Draft him with confidence if you own the eighth pick or later.  5.      Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers.324 average, 34 homers, 103 RBI, 96 runsLet’s just get this out in the open right off the bat: I really don’t care about his drinking problem; it doesn’t phase my thoughts about him. The guy can just plain hit, and he has been doing it a long time. He has hit at least .320 in four of the last five years. In five of the last six years he has had at least 30 homers, and he hasn’t had less than 100 RBI since his rookie campaign in which he only played 80+ games. Cabrera is automatic production in every category except for stolen bases. For some reason he never really excites me, but he is the prototypical guy that I shoot for consistent and durable. Consider Cabrera an excellent late first rounder or even better if he slips into round two, which rarely happens.  6.      Justin Morneau, Minnesota Twins.274 average, 30 homers, 100 RBI, 85 runs (135 games)A former AL MVP, Morneau had a chance at the award again in 2009 before a back injury ended his season early. Even with missing that time, he was still able to hit 30 homers for the third time in six years and drove in 100 runs for the fourth straight season. He doesn’t seem to be in the discussion with the elite first basemen, and I am not sure why. He is a great value as he generally goes a couple of rounds later than the guys above with fairly comparable production. If you wait through the first few rounds for your first baseman, definitely keep an eye out for Morneau in the third or fourth round. He will give you at worst second-round output. 7.      Joey Votto, Cincinnati Reds.322 average, 25 homers, 84 RBI, 82 runs (131 games)Man Crush Alert! In his second full season, Votto outperformed his rookie season with a batting average jump and similar power numbers, despite missing 30 games. At 26 years old, he is just coming into his prime, and I expect his power numbers to take a nice jump this year he should hit 30+ homers in 2010.He has a big advantage playing his home games at the Great American Small Park, and he has good hitters surrounding him. For those who like him as much as I do, he is a great guy to pick in the second or third round at first base, while many others are picking this position in the first round. You should get similar production from Votto as some of those players that go 10-15 picks earlier.  8.      Adrian Gonzalez, San Diego Padres.277 average, 40 homers, 99 RBI, 90 runsGonzalez got off to an amazing start in 2009 before pitchers finally figured out that there wasn’t anyone else in the Pads lineup that they had to worry about pitching to, and Adrian got walked an awful lot more. Gonzalez is going to hit home runs, there is no doubt about that, it is just a matter of how many times he will be walked. The X Factor with Gonzalez this year is the fact that he might be traded at the deadline to a big-time contender like the Red Sox. Not only would he get out of cavernous PetCo Park, but he would go to a batting lineup where pitchers would not be able to pitch around him and then the numbers could explode. It is a bit of a risk, but even if he stays in San Diego, he is a lock to hit 30-35 homers as long as he stays healthy.  9.      Kevin Youkilis, Boston Red Sox.305 average, 27 homers, 94 RBI, 7 steals, 99 runs (136 games)Youk is a solid fantasy player but seems to drop a few rounds every year despite good production. He does tend to get nicked up every year, as he has never played more than 147 games in a season, but he never misses significant time. He is a nice guy to have help you out with your batting average, but you will have try to find a bump in home runs from another position if you draft Youkilis, as most guys above him on this list will hit more than him. If you make some good choices at other positions, you can win with Youk at first base, but I would like a little bit of a stronger starter at the position.  10.  Adam Dunn, Washington Nationals.267 average, 38 homers, 106 RBI, 81 runsSo, while Youkilis might leave you with a bit of a deficiency in the power department at first base, if you take Adam Dunn, you will be forced to have a couple of players at other positions that will counteract his lower batting average. I know, I know, he hit nearly .270 last season, but previously in his career he was rarely anywhere near that mark. Dunn is an absolute lock for home run production, and he has value for that. Monangai does.In addition to the stiff arm, Monangai uses his low center of gravity to run right through defenders.

Given that the Sox are chasing a team with a stronger offense that has had their number during the last several years, they can’t afford to be throwing away starts like they were at times with guys like Jose Contreras and Carlos Torres starting games.Freddy Garcia will likely get the call to start the season. You’re talking to somebody on the wrong side of the hemisphere.” “The U.S.A. Does that sound familiar? With that same sequence happening to us many times this year you never know what could happen. This team is different though; they have the drive to get the job done. Whenever backed into a corner, it is a safe bet that Wilson is going to stick with his fastball. In fastball counts, opposing hitters can almost be guaranteed that Wilson will be bringing the heat. Now by the sheer fact that Wilson averages 96.6 MPH on the gun, he can get away with throwing mostly gas for the majority of the time. Nothing was more disappointing than the Texans? running back position, and that includes the continuance of Reggie Bush/Mario Williams/Vince Young stories last season.Last year, we thought we had solved these problems when Steve Slaton came out and set a new single season Texans? rushing record. In hindsight, though, that should have just told us that the original record was pretty sad. Before I go on, let me just get the fumbling thing out of the way.It was pathetic, sad, frightening, and heartbreaking all at once. How an entire group of running backs can become afflicted with fumblitis at the same time is something that medical science has yet to explain. It?s like them all getting the bubonic plague at once. But it happened.Every single running back who saw playing time lost a fumble during the season and most lost more than one.If you were to single out one thing that cost this team a shot at the playoffs, that might be it.Set the fumbling aside, however, and the running back position was still a let down. Before Slaton was lost for the season (which is another note you can add to the ?disappointment? column), he wasn?t running with the same effectiveness. He was missing holes, was less decisive, and seemed less explosive. Some have argued that that was because of the extra weight he put on, but my guess is that it was a mental side effect from the fumbling.Aside from Slaton, Moats displayed good vision but a lack of speed, and also a penchant for fumbling. They play six SEC games after an opponent bye week.GeorgiaGeorgia’s 2009 statistics can be viewed here .Georgia returns one of the most experienced offensive lines in the conference for 2010.

In a free agent class featuring superstars Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Joe Johnson, most teams are salivating over the top prize, LeBron James.Arguably the best all-around player in the NBA today, James means the world to the teams vying to lure him into their market. After a 4-2 start, Cornerback Jasper Howard was killed during an on-campus altercation.  Clark knocked down six of seven three-point attempts, including all four of his in the first half, and boosted Georgetown to a 50-31 halftime lead. The Hoyas didn’t stop in the second half. In addition to his ball skills, Haden returned punts and kicks at Florida and can make plays in the open field with his 4.34 speed. He finishes plays, has a good first move off the ball, and has very good size with the frame to grow even bigger. School: Juan Seguin High SchoolState: Arlington, TXPosition: DBMeasurables: 5′11″ 170 lbsForty: 4.5Stars: ThreeBreakdown:Ciante was a pretty big catch for the Huskers early on, a proven playmaker with a great upside and even better speed. It remains to be seen how his size will translate to the next level, but he could contribute within a few years.Upside:- Good cover-corner with good hands and good speed.- Good jumping ability and timing.- Good route recognition.Downside:- Size.- Caught a bit on pump fakes.- Odd tackling angles occasionally.Final Analysis:While Ciante is a good addition to this class, he is not a make or break player. He will be a decent asset with good hands and speed but will be fighting an uphill battle most of his career. If he matures quickly in the weight training program, then he might explode onto the scene later in his career. But he is not an early contributor.Ciante was a pretty big catch for Nebraska.. With that in mind, if Kaberle submitted a list to Burke he could control his destiny, joining a team that he felt had a good shot at a Cup. The argument that Kaberle is the odd man out is something that I, myself, had alluded to earlier this week It is clear to everyone in hockey circles that the Leafs have way too much money committed to their defense and, in an effort to bring in more offense, the Leafs will likely need to trade a big chunk of salary off to another team. In the case of Kaberle, most NHL general managers would be attracted to Kaberle’s contract.

When properly regulated, professional MMA showcases fair and disciplined bona-fide athletic competition. The Texans were one game away from the playoffs last season, and are on the cusp of getting over that hump. In fact, in 2009, Tebow and Meyer actually took strides to eliminate some of the ?flaws? that Superman had. He said in order for the Broncos to get where they want to be, he needs both great players and a great system. Delgado in 26 games hit .298 with 4 homers and 23 RBI’s for the New York Mets. The slugger also according to published reports from various Puerto Rico newspapers is looking to make big money.Furthermore, it has to be seen how Delgado and Marlins top brass will get to an understanding.Last time Delgado played for Florida the story did not end a happy one.Delgado in 2005 signed as a free agent with the Marlins to a $52 million- 4 year contract however the season that was supposed to be one to defend its World Series title turn to be an underachieving and sour one for the Fish.As the Marlins financial storyline is well known in major league baseball, notwithstanding, Delgado hit .301, 33 homers and 115 RBI’s and finished sixth for the National League MVP award he was traded that 2005 winter to the Mets for cash and prospects being the main player Mike Jacobs who is looking for a job nowadays too.Nonetheless, for Delgado this is not 2005.

25 when the Blue Devils host Tulsa in a non-conference matchup.?Honestly, we?ve showed this year that we can shoot bad; it?s going to happen,? Duke?s Smith said ?Most years, we might lose those games We might let that affect our defense or rebounding. Sure they love the money and the fame, but when it comes right down to it they love this business and everything it stands for.I know some of you are saying that I am full of crap, but in your heart of hearts you know I?m correct. That and the value he’ll come with as he goes in the latter stages of your fantasy draft.Prediction: 27 saves, 3.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 85 Ks Past profilesArizona Diamondbacks: Brandon Webb Atlanta Braves: Yunel Escobar Baltimore Orioles: Adam Jones Boston Red Sox: Clay Buchholz Chicago Cubs: Geovany Soto Chicago White Sox: Jake Peavy Cincinnati Reds: Joey Votto  Cleveland Indians: Grady Sizemore Colorado Rockies: Ubaldo Jimenez Detroit Tigers: Miguel Cabrera Florida Marlins: Cameron Maybin Houston Astros: Lance Berkman Kansas City Royals: Billy Butler Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim: Howie Kendrick Los Angeles Dodgers: James Loney Milwaukee Brewers: Corey Hart Minnesota Twins: Joe Nathan New York Mets: Jason Bay New York Yankees: Robinson Cano Oakland A’s: Kevin Kouzmanoff Philadelphia Phillies: Jimmy Rollins Originally published at LestersLegends .. If you have any doubts about this man’s ability, watch his last three fights. LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a double ovetime victory, but Pierce’s individual performance cannot be overlooked. Think of how he’s carried Kentucky this season to become one of the best teams in the nation. There was baseball, cursing, Roger Dorn’s hot wife, Charlie Sheen, voodoo practitioners with poor breaking ball perception, and best of all, the Yankees were bad-ass.In retrospect, it’s also pretty cool that Haywood resembled Sal Fasano on an epic HGH bender..

This could be attributed to the PPV being in St.Louis but let’s look at another example.Randy against Sheamus, this short feud (that may be continued) saw Randy as the overwhelming fan favorite, that alone violates the above definition as he should have put Sheamus in at least a more tweener light (as Sheamus is a minor heel), Instead the crowd goes nuts for Randy, and cheers when he uses the very tactics that got him over as a heel in 2007 (running in and RKOing Sheamus while Sheamus is in a match). The bottom line is Randy is a face, at least a tweener. Both Drew Brees and Peyton Manning made plays to win the NFC and AFC Championship respectively but that was not the whole formula for winning this post season. There have been three stats that just about every winner of each playoff game has had in common. Hopefully I will get some matches correct, but I’m sure some of my ideas won’t get even close. Tomlinson: ReleasedAccording to ESPN’s John Clayton, the San Diego Chargers have released arguably the best offensive player in their franchise’s history, LaDainian Tomlinson. After nine seasons, 12,490 rushing yards, and 153 total touchdowns, Tomlinson will now test free agency for the first time.Tomlinson’s numbers have fallen off in the last two seasons, though, as the future Hall of Famer has dealt with a number of injuries. Â Edge is a face; Orton is looking to become one, and Sheamus, a man who has been with the company for eight months, is in the top three for heels right now. Then to a wild finish as the laps clicked off and they were down to 28 laps to go Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski got together and turned into Dale Earnhardt Jr and sent Dale Jr sideways into the fence and airborne down the back stretch collecting a host of other drivers including Kyle Busch the defending Nationwide Series Champion, Kevin Harvick , Scott Riggs, Joe Nemechek, Tony Raines, And Brendan Gaughan also were involved in the crash.

Both had their moments but neither was lights out on a consistent basis?Kentucky didn’t sign a quarterback in this years signing class. He is agile and quick for his size, and displays very good change of direction, acceleration in and out of breaks, and body control. Jon Leuer’s pivotal block sealed the deal, or the Badgers would have been looking at another loss.At times recently, when trying to score, the Badgers have seemed like Ray Charles looking for a taxi.Tim Jarmusz? Jarmusz is playing too many minutes, it is that simple. Cynics like Dick Normandy continue to criticise wrestling and hate it on the sole fact that it is fake. He appeared to clean up his act a little his senior season, but many scouts will be concerned about him relapsing. Halladay will continue his dominance, but don?t forget that he is a guy with a track record of injuries and is also on the wrong side of 30.The Blue Jays got Kyle Kendrick , one of the best pitching prospects in baseball, and Michael Taylor , whom they immediately traded to Oakland for Brett Wallace. These players have to be able to blitz Manning and make plays in coverage. The key to this game will be if the Saints are smart enough not to blitz Manning but force him to be extremely accurate.

You know it’s going to happen. As for James, he is an absolute brute with the ball in his hands, generatingunparalleled power driving to the lane and a capable jump-shot when given space. Still Iguodala’s game is gravely under appreciated by mans fans and critics around the league. There is no replacing a stud at shortstop, but the quality has improved in the later rounds to the point that it is acceptable to build other positions with a more limited concern on picking up or reaching for one.Once Derek Jeter or Jason Bartlett comes off the board, there is very little distinguishing someone like Alexei Ramirez or Stephen Drew from Yunel Escobar Use this to your decided advantage. Texas A&M Aggies (18-6, 7-3) LW: 3The Aggies lone game last week, a 67-65 victory at Texas Tech, was enough to vault them into the top 25 for the first time this season. Van Persie was doing that job until a horrible ankle injury hit him hard whilst on duty for Holland. Even after the fetus placenta treatment, RVP is still watching Arsenal from his mansion and can only wait until his white blood cells fix his stupid ankle. Arsenal fans are in the sh*tter right now. 18 prospect in all of Minor League Baseball.Being unable to compete for the latter half of 2009 and all of 2010 due to injury, everyone assumed Parker’s stock would drop with regards to ranking him among the best players in the minor leagues.MLB TV presented their list of the top 50 prospects for 2010 and in somewhat of a surprise, Parker was listed at No. More importantly though, he would come back with fresh legs, and the ability to shoot without pain. For everyone who thinks that the Lakers need Kobe right now, I actually disagree.

At that point, you wait until the third round to take a quarterback. Maggette has played small forward for the majority of the season and has been effectively efficient He started the season off horribly. For high school seniors expecting to make the transition to bowl championship (formerly Division I) level football, it is decision time.National Signing Day?Feb. The one-year opt-in at $9 million would have made things very difficult for the Bulls this offseason and may have made it impossible for the Bulls to land a max free agent. Losing two second-round picks has no real barring on the Bulls.

I personally feel that Curt Hennig is one of the best wrestlers to ever get inside the ring and his father, Larry, wasn’t too bad either. Right after signing his contract, Davis started off the season with a bang He broke his finger by punching one of his own friends. The young Italian just signed a long term contract with the Gunners and is set for a lengthy career in North London. The usual third choice keeper was suddenly elevated to first choice keeper earlier this season, when injuries to Lukasz Fabianski and Manuel Almunia ensured Mannone would get a rare opportunity.Mannone started slowly, the 21 year old conceded two goals in five minutes in his first encounter. Quick teams with talented defensive guards can make Calipari’s squad mortal.Outlook : The only question for Kentucky is whether they can receive a top seed come Selection Sunday My guess is no. He laid the ball off to Lampard who took a touch with his left foot to control the ball and then drilled his shot left-footed hard and low passed Hart to make it 3-0.This was Lampard back to his best (or well on the way to getting there) and this is a bad sign for the rest of the Premier League.

Mr Karzai also said he would visit the United States “in the coming month or two.”US officials accused the Taliban that preceded Mr Karzai’s six-month interim administration last week of being a “drug-trafficking government” and said Washington hoped to get rid of opium stockpiles in Afghanistan and stop farmers from planting more poppies.Until last year, Afghanistan was the world’s main producer of poppies, which are turned into opium and further refined into heroin. Two years ago, the Taliban ordered a partial ban on poppy production and last year outlawed it altogether. But American officials said that, although the Taliban had banned growing poppies, it was still stockpiling opium.Interviewed on NBC’s Meet the Press, Mr Karzai was asked if his government would be able to eliminate poppy production and prevent narcotics trafficking.”Yes, we are very determined to stop this by whatever means,” he said. But he stressed that “we must also try to return to the Afghan people what is theirs. That’s a good life, a good agriculture base and economic opportunity.”Without that kind of medium, it will be hard to stop the production of poppy or to prevent smuggling or the trafficking of narcotics.”He added that most Afghans lived on an income of less than one dollar a day.. US warplanes renewed strikes against suspected terrorist hide–outs in eastern Afghanistan, but leading US senators said that the belief was increasing that al–Qaida leader Osama bin Laden had fled across the border into Pakistan. A number of al–Qaida fighters are believed to have slipped into the area after fleeing Tora Bora, the mountain cave complex seized by US–backed anti–Taliban forces last month. The Americans and their Afghan allies are pursuing the capture of bin Laden, blamed for the Sept.

11 attacks against New York and Washington, and Mullah Mohammed Omar, the one–eyed cleric who led the Taliban and gave bin Laden and his al–Qaida network a base of operations. But two members of the US Senate Intelligence Committee said Sunday that US officials are beginning to believe that bin Laden has fled Afghanistan, possibly for Pakistan.Sen. John Edwards, traveling with other senators in the region, told “Fox News Sunday” that Uzbekistan’s military intelligence service thinks bin Laden has slipped into Pakistan. Uzbekistan, like Pakistan, borders Afghanistan and has been a US ally in the fight against the Taliban and al–Qaida.”I fully expect the Pakistanis will do everything they can to help us locate bin Laden,” Edwards said.Intelligence Committee Chairman Sen. Ibn Al–Shayk al–Libi, who ran al–Qaida training camps in Afghanistan, is under the custody of US authorities at Kandahar airport, controlled by the US Marines. About 300 prisoners are being held at the airport.Zaeef was probably the best–known face of the Taliban, giving daily news conferences at his embassy in Islamabad, the Pakistani capital, during the height of the US–led bombing campaign in October and November to topple the extremist Islamic regime. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees rejected his application for refugee status Pakistan, the Taliban’s strongest supporter before the Sept. 11 attacks said Zaeef was no longer protected by diplomatic immunity after the Taliban government fell He was turned over to the Americans on Saturday.. India ruled out any dialogue with Pakistan in the near future, saying there had been no change in Islamabad’s attitude toward terrorism.

Security sources also said eight civilians were killed in separate incidences by suspected Islamic militants.Indian External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh said talks with Pakistan were on hold because Islamabad had not done enough to curb Islamic militant attacks in India.”Where is the question of a dialogue, when there is no change in attitude?” Singh said.”They do continue to maintain a very different approach when it’s a matter of Western interest or Afghanistan, and a very different approach when it comes to terrorism in India and Jammu–Kashmir,” Singh told reporters after a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security. “This is not acceptable to India.”Jammu–Kashmir is India’s only predominantly Muslim state and has been the focal point of two wars between India and Pakistan. On Sunday, the two countries’ leaders ended a summit for South Asian nations with no signs of ending the bitter standoff. On a mission to ease tension between India and Pakistan, British Prime Minister Tony Blair finished a three–day visit to India on Monday and left for Pakistan. He was expected to press Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf to denounce terrorism in South Asia and do more to curb the militants operating from Pakistan. In a joint press conference with Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Sunday, Blair condemned attacks on India in the strongest language yet used by a Western leader.Washington has been walking a fine line between the two South Asian rivals since it badly needs Pakistan’s support in its war on terrorism in neighboring Afghanistan. The standoff between India and Pakistan escalated after the Oct. 1st suicide bombing at the state assembly building in Jammu–Kashmir, in which 40 people were killed.A Dec.

Many venues introduced fees in the 1980s when the Government wanted the arts to become more business-like and independent.Nicholas Boole, a spokesman for the Royal Armouries in Leeds and Fort Nelson in Portsmouth, two military museums, said that visitor numbers – which rose from 7,365 in December 2000 to 18,734 last month – had been increasingthroughout the year. The introduction of free admission for adults, however, coming after the earlier decision to scrap charges for children and pensioners, had accelerated the trend.”What was once a barrier, mainly price, has been taken away,” he said. “It is encouraging many people who perhaps wouldn’t have come through the doors to do so.”The Victoria and Albert Museum in London recorded one of the most spectacular increases, thanks in part to the opening of its new British galleries at the end of November. A spokeswoman said the new galleries had always been expected to increased attendance but estimating the size of the rise had been difficult.”We were delighted with the universal acclaim for the galleries and that has undoubtedly contributed to the rise in visitor figures,” she said.. What with the weather, rail strikes and one of the highest violent crime rates in Europe, the task of dissuading people from visiting Britain should not have been too taxing.

The campaign, aimed at refugees in the Sangatte Red Cross hostel in northern France, managed to convince only 17 of the 17,500 residents to go back home, even with an offer to arrange and pay for the journey. It has now been wound up.The campaign, entitled “Dignity or Exploitation – The Choice is in Your Hands”, featured a video of the hardships of life in Britain and the dangers of trying to cross the Channel. Posters and pamphlets were distributed around the hostel in Calais with the same message. The Home Office gave €213,000 (£140,000) towards the programme. The International Organisation on Migration (IOM), which ran it, was prepared to use the funds to transport asylum- seekers all the way to their home towns. An IOM spokesman said: “It has not been an incredible success These people have spent a lot of money getting to Sangatte.

They have taken a lot of risks and are tantalisingly close.”Asylum-seekers were advised that “working illegally in the UK often leads to exploitation in the form of forced prostitution or labour, debt bondage, domestic slavery or begging”.Only 15 men, one woman and a five-year-old girl, were signed up for the programme, which began in the summer. They were made up of five Iranians, three Angolans, two Romanians, two Albanians, a Pole, a Pakistani, a Moroccan, a Ukrainian and a Lithuanian. The Australian government has employed even more extreme tactics to discourage unwanted asylum-seekers. It has compiled a video that warns of sharks and crocodiles.. A record amount of compensation to victims of discrimination in 2000 should send a “wake-up call” to employers who pay insufficient attention to equal opportunity laws, it will be claimed today. And experts warned that the amounts would rise over the next few years because discrimination on grounds of religion or belief, age and sexual orientation had also recently been outlawed. The research, by the Equal Opportunities Review (EOR), was based on 318 tribunals at which compensation was awarded in 2000. Sue Johnstone, the editor of the EOR’s website, said the figures were “a wake-up call” to employers. “Not paying proper attention to equal opportunities in the workplace is costing organisations a massive amount of money, almost £4m in 2000,” she said. But it was easy to avoid such losses because forward-thinking employers had proved that good equal-opportunities policies and practice were a cost-effective way of getting the best out of staff, she said.

“This makes sound commercial sense for its own sake and has got to be of benefit to every business,” she said. “Employers must act now to reap the financial rewards of good business practice and to avoid damaging and costly discrimination claims in the future.”The survey revealed a rise in the average level of award in race and disability cases, but a slight dip in payouts in sex discrimination cases.Sex discrimination was the complaint dealt with by 186 tribunals – nearly 60 per cent of the total – with 75 concerning racial bias and 47 disability. Five involved cases of race and sex discrimination and two cases combined disability and race discrimination.Almost 50 per cent of the £3.53m was granted to victims of sex cases, 34 per cent for race discrimination and most of the rest for disability cases. The average award for race discrimination was £15,000, for disability cases £13,000, for sex discrimination £11,000 and for unfair dismissal £5,000. At £1.53m, compensation awarded for injury to feeling made up 43 per cent of the total awards. The largest award went to Gurpal Virdi, 42, who was sacked by the Metropolitan Police after he was accused of sending racist mail to colleagues at Ealing police station in west London. The Sikh officer was awarded £150,000 – including £100,000 for injury to feelings – when a tribunal ruled he was innocent and had been subjected to racial discrimination. Scotland Yard then agreed a further out-of-court settlement of £200,000 before a second tribunal was due to hear his claim for unfair dismissal.Almost £1m more was paid out in 2000 compared with 1999.

“The financial controls were insufficient and did not match requirements under US laws,” Mr Sullivan said, contending that the group had failed to heed warnings since June.Mr AlHussein said the group was given until 15 January to institute new financial controls and said the State Department was told the deadline would be met. He said certain department officials, including some from the time of President Bill Clinton’s administration, “want to appease Saddam. They want to contain him and keep him in his box and don’t want to take Saddam on as the head of a terrorist state.”The London-based confederation of opposition groups has considerable backing in the US Congress, but critics have said its members are not prepared to combat the Iraqi President’s forces on the ground, even with US backing.Congress appropriated $25m (£17m) for the Iraqi opposition, with at least $10m to be used inside Iraq. But Mr AlHussein argued that administration officials would not let the group use the money inside the country and therefore the opposition group rejected the entire amount. The State Department went ahead on its own and sent the group about $12m in 2001.The money was primarily used to collect information on abuses by the Iraqi government, present the findings to the United Nations and save it for later use if there was a war crimes tribunal. “Senior level officials have been very encouraging” about the opposition’s work, Mr AlHussein said.In the background of the dispute is an argument over policy toward Iraq in the war on terrorism.

Hawks in the Bush administration, led by Paul Wolfowitz, the deputy defence secretary, have been pressing for the US military to finish off the Iraqi President. Other administration officials, however, have argued to keep the focus on the anti-terror war against Osama bin Laden’s al-Qa’ida network (AP). Israel’s Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, accused Yasser Arafat yesterday of ordering an arms shipment for “the next wave of terror”, and said the Palestinian leader had forged an alliance with Iran, the kingpin of international terrorism. The booty was laid out for inspection, row upon row, like so many soldiers: shiny mortars, ground-to-ground Katyusha rockets, anti-tank missiles, rocket-propelled grenades, bright yellow mines and waterproof containers of small arms and ammunition. Most carried Iranian markings.Israel estimates the cargo must have cost tens of millions of dollars – in addition to the $400,000 (£280,000) paid for the Karine A vessel. The Katyushas, familiar from their use in Lebanon, would have put Ben Gurion international airport and Israeli cities within Palestinian range.”The type and character of the weapons and ammunition prove once again that the Palestinian Authority has been focusing all its efforts on terrorism and preparing the operational infrastructure for the next wave of terror,” Mr Sharon said. “Let there be no mistake – this is the choice made by the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority.”The Prime Minister denied American suggestions the shipment was destined for the Lebanese Hizbollah militia, linked to Iran.

Contrary to some reports, Mr Sharon said, there was no Hizbollah representative among the crew, which were arrested on Thursday.Lieutenant-General Shaul Mofaz, Israel’s Chief of the General Staff, said the captain and other sailors had admitted under interrogation that the weapons were to be smuggled into Gaza and then infiltrated into the West Bank. The idea was to land the cargo on the Egyptian Sinai coast and transfer them to small fishing boats. The containers, designed to float just below the surface with a buoy showing their location, would then be dropped off Gaza, where Palestinian seamen would scoop them up during the night.General Mofaz said the prisoners confirmed that “central figures” in the Palestinian Authority were responsible for procuring the ship and its cargo, as well as recruiting the mixed Palestinian, Jordanian and Egyptian crew. Among others, Israel named Adel Mughrabi, the Palestinian Authority’s chief purchasing officer, and Fuad Shubaki, the paymaster of the Palestinian security services.

The captain was Colonel Omar Akawi, a senior officer in the naval police.Israeli security officials said it was impossible for Mr Arafat not to have known about the shipment, as he claimed. None the less, Mr Sharon stopped short of halting ceasefire talks, which resumed yesterday. “This government,” he said, “is committed to peace and wants peace. But we cannot move forward without a total ceasefire for seven days.” He reiterated that there would be no negotiations “under fire”.The commando operation has revived Israel’s spirit after 15 demoralising months of intifada. “This is what we are trained for,” exulted a senior security officer at a weekend cocktail party. The Jerusalem Post rejoiced it had “put pride back” in the army. The Yediot Aharonot called it “a classic James Bond operation”.

He could also transfer shares to Michele and repeat the exercise. They must be wary not to be overexposed to Logica, though, as these shares have proved to be volatile performers in the past. MortgageMortgage endowments need to be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure they are hitting their investment targets. Endowments also provide life cover, so it seems strange that the Whites have separate life assurance linked to their mortgage This too should be reviewed. If there is excess life cover that the couple wish to continue for the benefit of their children, they should look at the possibility of putting this into a trust, which again will help avoid inheritance tax.By Clare FrancisAdvice given by Patrick Connolly, associate director at independent financial adviser Chartwell Investment. Contact 01225 446556 or costs are a challenge on an NHS salaryThe forties Stella and Brian Langley live with their children Hannah, 17, and Andrew, 13, in Guildford, Surrey. Stella, 43, who is a nurse, is the main breadwinner while Brian, 49, is writing a children’s book.

The family downsized and moved to a smaller property after Brian was made redundant from his advertising job several years ago. They bought the house outright and have no mortgage payments to worry about.Their outgoings are under control but Stella recently had to take out a £10,000 personal loan from Abbey National to buy a new car when hers needed replacing. The couple pay off their credit cards each month, and although they have overdraft facilities on their separate bank accounts, they rarely use them. The Langleys have two Tessa-only ISAs and two mini cash ISAs with Dunfermline building society They do not own shares. “Because money is so tight and we can’t afford to lose any, I would rather have secure savings than stock market investments,” says Stella. The family’s main concern is their pension provision. Stella started an NHS pension five years ago and Brian has a small company pension from his previous job He is not currently contributing to a pension. They are also concerned about helping the children with their university fees and living costs; it looks as if Hannah will start university next year, and Andrew may also want to go when he is old enough.

Advice If money is tight you have to budget, and it is worth doing a personal audit for a month to see where savings can be made. Little things help, such as making phone calls at cheap rates, reviewing motor or home contents insurance, or switching utility providers. However, I think Stella and Brian must accept that they are not going to be in a position to help their children out much financially when they get to university. There are certain grants and loans available for low-income families, and I suggest they look into these as soon as possible. The Langleys should check that they are getting the best deal on their ISAs. If they can live on their income and have a cash reserve of three times their monthly expenditure, they should also consider investing in stocks and shares. This should be money that can be tied up in the medium to long term, enabling them to build up savings for the future to subsidise their pensions or help with university costs. If they are ultra-cautious they could drip-feed money in over a period of time, which would take out some of the volatility. Some stocks and shares ISAs will accept as little as £10 a month through a tracker.

If you haven’t, what should you do?Well, the only option is to vote “yes”. No matter how annoyed you may be at the way the insurer has treated you – and many policyholders have been treated very shabbily indeed – revenge won’t be sweet because there is no alternative. The deal is not open for negotiation.Under the compromise, Equitable is offering policy uplifts averaging 17.5 per cent to guaranteed annuity rate (GAR) policyholders in return for waiving those rights.
